Aside from his ongoing spiritual pilgrimages and travel photography, Michael has been student, photographer and coordinated events for luminaries such as Ram Dass, Swami Kriyananda, Tibetan Monks and teachers from various monasteries and schools including: Sera Je, Gaden Ngari Khangsten and The Gaden Shartse Sacred Earth and Healing Arts Tours....the lineage of the Dalai Lamas, to Interfaith Dialogue, Music and Art programs and programs addressing gender based violence.
A student and practitioner of dharma for many years, Michael is a founding member and local study circles coordinator offered by The Dalai Lama Foundation, an international organization supporting our shared global capacity for ethics, peace and compassion.
He has led meditation groups, chanting and Kirtans as well as working on projects with Sacramento world class Crocker Art Museum, presented at local colleges including California State University of Sacramento, Earth Day and a large number of churches, interfaith organizations, non profit groups,
yoga studios and dharma centers.
Michaels photography and dharma work has taken him to many of the worlds most
sacred sites.....from the Holy Land to India, Nepal and Tibet...high in the Andes of Peru to Machu Picchu and the jungle pyramids of Tikal in Guatemala. Treking to Everest basecamp, exploring the Amazon jungles, spending the night in a cave atop Mt. Sinai to the antiquities of ancient Greece, Egypt and the ancient city of Petra in Jordan. These are just some of the fascinating places presented in his work.
Michael's programs have been described as... "a powerful and moving presentation on life and the journey into spirit." and "fascinating, beautiful, inspiring...an eye opening body of work."
If you enjoy National Geographic, beautiful photography, moving music, exploring ancient civilizations, spirituality, truth, non-violence, mindfulness and wisdom you will truly appreciate his work.
